Jana Kramer became famous on TV, in which she played Alex in One Tree Hill's last three seasons. In the series' episodes she sang her debut country albums. The album she released entitled "Jana" was a hit in the Billboard 200 top 20 in 2012. Thirty One from 2015 reached 10th place. The singer ended the decade by appearing in Dancing with the Stars and in several TV movies alongside a series of non-album singles. In 2021, the album The Doubting Voices was released. Growing up within Rochester Hills Michigan Jana Rae Kramer grew up on country music and would eventually pursue a recording career but she made her debut as an actor making her debut on screen on the screen in the 2002 independent horror film Dead/Undead while still teenagers. Kramer was a guest on episodes on All My Children, CSI: NY and Friday Night Lights in the second season of the show 2007-2008. Kramer then appeared as Portia ranson in 90210 between 2008 and 2009 and Brooke Manning in Entourage in the year 2009. The actress joined the crew on CW One Tree Hill in 2009, playing Alex Dupre where she stayed up until the midway point in the final season (2012). Kramer dropped her second album Thirty One on Warner Music Nashville in October 2015. I Got the Boy (a Top Five Country hit) and Steven Tyler's duet to Aerosmith helped the album reach its place in the Billboard 200 chart at number 10. It also reached third on the country albums charts. In September 2016, her two-month stint on the 23rd series of Dancing with the Stars ended with her finishing fourth. That year she also had an adult contemporary hit by releasing Feels Like Christmas with Straight No Chaser.
